Welcome to the News and Events Page for the Manchester United Supporters Club North Devon Branch. If you wish to find out about the goings on regarding the Supporters Club, then you have come to the right place, as the aim of this page is to keep everyone in touch with the Branch by making you all aware of any important Club news. We will advertise any events that occur throughout the season on this section of the site, for example a fundraising event or Committee meeting, so please have a look below. A discussion group has been setup in order to chat about issues and topics regarding both the Branch and United itself. The reason this was setup was that we could air the issues and ideas of fellow members and get to know each other better. At the moment we have only 55 people who have joined the group. Please feel free to join and air your opinions, as there are only a couple of us who are posting regulary on it. Please note that you must become a member of facebook in order to join the group,To join you only need to enter your e-mail address and create your password and come join us and help us taking the "mick" of the "Scousers" and "Citee"... and remember its totally free!!! . This seasons Branch AGM was held on Thursday 21st of July at the Barnstaple Football Club, Mill Road Barnstaple at 7.30pm. Paul "George" Clarke stood down as Branch Secretary and will be replaced by Kevin Skinner. Grant "Brian" Marsden passed his Branch Treasurer duties to Dean Evans. Stuart Lake also sood down as a committee member.Pete Redmore and Steve Platt were voted on to the committee.Also it is imperative that all members join or rejoin the "One United Membership"(click here to join) scheme as the branch reguires in excess of 100 members to get the tickets to run the branch sucessfully. | ||||

A "Sportsmans" Dinner was held at the Ilfracombe Golf Club on Tuesday the 18th of May 2010. Around 70 North Devon reds were joined by Denis Irwin (pictured left) and David May who were both members of the 99 triple winning squad , the evening was enjoyed by all who were spellbound as both players told stories of their time at Old Trafford. A 3 course meal was also enjoyed by all and the evening went on till well after midnight. Loads of signed membrobillia was snapped up and a raffle also took place. A big thanks to Dean Evans who organised the event and to Dean Richardson at The Golf Club. | ||||

Despite not being the best supported match season, the home fixture against Bolton on the 18th of March 2008 was a landmark for the Branch. We welcomed Luke Bainbridge, a journalist for INSIDE UNITED magazine, on the journey there and back and at Old Trafford itself. He spent time with the North Devon Reds at the Theatre of Dreams and we had a four page spread in the December 2008 edition of the official magazine!!! (Issue 197 pictured left). It went on sale on November 5th 2008. There were photo calls on Barnstaple Square and at Old Trafford, outside the SIr Matt Busby statue, and many of the pictures feature in the article. This is a fantastic way to give us publicity so spread the word and look out for some familiar faces "INSIDE UNITED" | ||||
